For a quick, filling, protein-packed breakfast that tastes delicious and helps our digestion all day, we really enjoy these easy smoothies:
Make ahead fruit syrup:
- Fresh (or frozen) fruit -- blueberries, strawberries and raspberries all work well.
- Splenda
- Water
Smoothies:
- 1 cup fruit syrup
- 1 cup plain, fat-free yogurt
- 1-2 cups ice
- Protein powder, measured by package instructions
Combine all ingredients in blender and mix until smooth. Divide into two large plastic cups, add a straw, and breakfast is served!
